Montofoli Estate Liatiko

The characteristic aromas of raisin, sweet spices, chocolate and coffee are complemented by the more complex aromas of caramelized fruit and toast. Montofoli Liatiko should be served very cold (<4 oC) as a dessert. We suggest you have it on its own or serve it with dried fruits and roasted nuts, or with fruit compote and dark chocolate desserts. All Montofoli wines are distributed by the Cellier stores.

Liatiko

Harvest

Selective harvest (handpicked) at the end of August or beginning of September. After the grapes are harvested they are sundried for 10-15 days.

Vinification and ageing

After the sun drying period, they are sent into a pneumatic press and ferment into aluminum tanks for another month. The wine that has the best ageing potential is aged for up to 10 years in oak barrels and is exclusively used for the production of Montofoli Liatiko.

Tasting notes
